Color Me Rad RVA 2012

Better to share late than never! The Color Me Rad 5K came to Richmond this July and life certainly got a little messy and fun that weekend – highly recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind a lot of fun followed by a lot of clean up and sleep.

traveling by dream – 4.23.12

i hear church bells ringing. smell the river and the city. from the top of the iron tower, i see lights blurring by in the land below. i want to fly to the glass pyramid full of history and art. to soar through the rafters of the cathedral with the gargoyles and the hunchback. to land in a cafe full of fresh pastries and coffee.

my companion is here with me, in this capital of love and romance. we are beaming at one another like actors from black and white films filmed here so long ago. we come down from our tower, magically appearing before gardens of life and color and aromas so sweet. we speak so fluently the language of this land, rolling our tongues and curving our lips in just the right fashion as to purr the tones created by this enchanting speech.

we are in the paris of my dreams. living as though we were born here. in the age of flair and the can can and the renaissance. i don’t wish to wake up. Je vous souhaite de beaux rêves.
